Balsamic reduction is a slow-cook reduction of balsamic vinegar. Balsamic vinegar is simmered in a saucepan for about 15 minutes until it’s reduced in half and has the consistency of maple syrup or warm honey. The balsamic reduction should be able to coat the back of a spoon to produce perfect thickness.
