Baking Powder – Baking Soda – Corn Starch

Clabber Girl, originally owned and manufactured by Hulman & Company, sold the American brand baking powder, baking soda, and corn starch to B&G Foods in 2019.

The brand Clabber Girl originated from the word Clabber, a type of sour milk. In the early 1800s, people mixed Clabber (sour milk) with pearl ash, soda, and cream of tartar with a few other ingredients to make what is known today as baking powder.
